Wallpapering adds a lot of pattern and color to a room. However, not everyone has the time, money or wants the commitment of a wallpapered wall. Here’s an off the wall way to bring pattern and color to a wall without wallpapering.

First, Find your pattern.
I went with this Indian print that’s actually a handmade napkin from a free trade store in Nashville called Ten Thousand Villages.
Second, find your frame.

I went with this white shadow box frame from Ikea.
Third, accessible the frame. Begin by taking off the back of the frame.
Then, glue your pattern to the back of the frame.
I used hot glue from a glue gun, but you could use fabric glue or any other type of non-washable glue.
Next, put the frame back together.
Then, finish your frame with a sense of detail.
Good design is in the details. I added the napkin tag which explains the pattern’s location, meaning and benefit.
Lastly, repeat the steps above to achieve an off the wall effect without wallpapering.
A toute a l’heure,
Natalie
