Last Friday, I tagged along with three avid Scott Antique Market goers in Atlanta. What a wonderful day! I found so many great pieces and was filled with inspiration. I left with a few good finds, and I will definitely be returning. Thanks, ladies, for letting me join you!

Here are some of my favorite things:
This is a fabulous set of Louis XVI armchairs. I especially love the muted white and grey tones in the fabric and wood.

We made a visit to Love Train Antiques!

I imagine this piece hung horizontally above a buffet in a dining room or breakfast room filled with wine bottles.

This is a great way to add a faux window to add some depth and dimension to any high ceiling room.

What a fabulous baby’s crib. I would add fabric wrapped bumpers and liners to keep the baby comfy and safe.

Inviting!

The perfect chandelier above any rustic table.

This is such a great antique find. It is a French day bed. Both ends recline to 90, 45 and 180 degreesgenius!
It would look beautiful in a family room for extra sitting. I could also see it at the foot of a bed. The tone on tone brown leather and velvet fabric and the nail head trim make this piece wonderful.

The sky and cerulean blues against the white make this cabinet really pop. It would make a great addition to any kitchen. Also, I love the combination of the blue and white painted wood furniture, because it reminds me of the colors in the South of France.

What a unique fabric–burlap. This chair is such a comfortable sit.

Adding a second fabric to the backside of a chair is a nice way to add interest and pattern without going overboard.

What an amazing clock!

I could just imagine this as an island in a kitchen.
You could cook and chop vegetables directly on top of it. Your family and friends
could pull stools up to it to sit to enjoy a meal. It has a great bottom shelf for kitchen storage.
It is a fabulous way to add interest to your kitchen without adding a lot of cost.

We all complain about needing more storage space. Here are some great antique bins that you could use for storage.

Adding these to a boring shelf adds some dimension and gives charater to any plain shelving unit.

I love these old grain sacks. I imagine using them to upholster a seat on a kitchen chair or ottoman.
Also, they would make interesting pillows.

What a beautiful coffee table. It sold for only $395!

This antique settee had the original horse hair stuffing.

The seat was actually pretty comfortable, yet I still prefer down feathers instead. I would pull a large round dining table up to it and accompany it with different types of chairs–maybe a mix of Louis XV armchairs, some modern Hans Wegner chairs and a couple Phillipe Starck Ghost chairs.

This is a great place to find decorative antique books–they were around $13 each.

What a fantastic coffee table
.

A unique light fixture for any outdoor table.

I love this decorative mirror. It has a sculptural element that would become a nice piece of art on any wall.
