Wednesday, September THIRTIETH of 2009 is a night that I will never forget. After a year of arduous studying, prayer, sacrifice and commitment, my husband, being recommended by the Nashville Presbytery for ordination, was installed as an ordained pastor by Covenant Presbyterian Church in Nashville, TN. I couldn’t be more proud of you, J!

The beauty of the evening is an outward reflection of the beautiful people that led J to this moment. (Above from L to R: myself, my Mom Suzy and my Dad Frank. Thanks so much for being there for us! The cupcakes were deliciously beautiful!)
A special thank you to artist David McLeod, one of J’s and my closest friends and the photographer of the evening.
J’s mom, Linda. A big supporter and encourager of J’s life!
J’s dad, David. The host of the evening, the man who helped put J through seminary and life! Thank you, David!

Our Senior Pastor, Jim Bachmann, and J. Isn’t our sanctuary beautiful?! I love the light fixtures!

Pastor Phil Roach, AKA “J’s boss”, joking with J. Phil is a constant supporter and encourager of J in ministry and in life.

One of J’s best Nashville friends, musician and ministry partner, Justin Carlson.
Two of J’s biggest encouragers, Michael Hart and Dave Barnes.

Some of my dearest friends, Betsie Carlson, Lauren Stanfield and Blair McLeod. All three of these girls prayed for J and myself in the process. Lauren and Bets work with J. Thank you, Lauren, for picking up J’s slack over the last year!

J’s brother, Neal, and our baby niece, Hadley, sharing how much he loves and supports his brother

Robert Cunningham–one of J’s closest childhood friends, seminary friends and a support in life and ministry.
Most of the pastors and their wives from Covenant Presbyterian Church (L to R: Larry and Lisa Ferris, Joyce and Wayne Herring, Jenny and Jack Foster, Maria (hidden in picture) and Roy Carter). We love you all!

Our adorable nephew Jack and his beautiful momma, my sister-in-law, Shannon.
The invitations and the table settings that I put together! I love the orangey-red flower buds mixed with the creamy ivory and brown colors of the table linens.

The food is almost as pretty as the people! Wedding Cake cupcakes (my favorite) from Gigi’s Cupcakes and one of the four dinner options, the salmon topped with onion relish and aspargus.

The Acorn did a fabulous job! Thank you, Julie!
